The Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kits are a product I have seen a lot about around the blogosphere. They are highly rated and well loved, but are they really as good as the hype suggests?

I have had the glow kits on my wishlist for a long time, and a few months ago when I was feeling spendy I gave in. I actually got a completely different glow kit to the one I was planning on getting as the shade Gleam, which I wanted, was out of stock everywhere. I ended up getting the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in the shade Sun Dipped. 

This is probably the one I would have least likely purchased originally due to it looking a lot darker in photos but I am actually incredibly happy I went for this particular palette in the end. I literally use it all the time. 

The palette is described as containing four finely-milled illuminating powders, which can achieve a subtle hint of highlight or dramatic, after-hours luminosity. When you first touch the powders it is amazing how super soft and smooth all of the shades are, they feel like they are incredible quality.

The palette contains four extremely large sized pans, that were much, much larger than I was expecting. They look like full size pans, so the pricing of £39.00 isn't that bad when you think of it like that.

The first shade included is the only one in the palette which is too dark for me. It is the shade Bronzed, a bronzed tone highlight with hints of copper. I have been using this as an eyeshadow which works incredibly well, and lasts all day too. 

The next shade is Summer, my favourite of the palette. It is a gorgeous yellowy gold with white shimmer throughout. Being the lightest shade in the palette it works perfectly with my super pale skin. It adds a gorgeous glow to the face with just one swipe of colour, but builds up to being much more intense too. It also works really well in the corner of the eye.

Tourmaline is the next shade in the palette, the third lightest shade. It is a rose toned taupe colour on the skin. I love that it has hints of rose within as this makes it a much more wearable shade for me, which again works well on the eye lids as well as the face. I also like to mix it with the final shade in the palette which creates a rose toned super light brown which is surprisingly wearable.

The final shade is Moonstone, a warm toned gold with flecks of white which goes on my skin as a warm toned golden highlight. It is beautiful, and a shade that I didn't think I would love quite as much as I do.

All of the shades in this palette are amazing, and if it was the 90's I would be typing amazing in bold, capital letters, they are that good. All brushes I have tried pick up the product with ease and instantly add a highlight to your skin without even really trying. If you want a subtle look the only thing I will say is watch the amount of product you pick up. They are incredibly pigmented so it can be so easy to overdo a natural highlight. 

On the other hand, if you want that super intense highlight, they are very easy to build up creating the most dramatic look. I am completely obsessed with my highlight every time I wear these, and I think they are the best highlighters I have ever tried. They are all long-lasting too.
